“Build an ideal relationship with a man” written by Maria Haston is a nonfiction book that pretty much fulfills its title with tips for doing what it promises. I must admit that while reading through the book I felt like much of what is says should be simply common sense…but I guess as they say, common sense isn’t always so common. As an agnostic, I can’t really agree with the emphasis put on spiritual or religious connection in the book, as my husband and I have the best relationship of just about anyone I know, even though we both share a curiosity, but a lot of doubts as well, about the whole God issue. I do think overall that most of the tips in this book would be very helpful in healthy relationship building, however, I wasn’t so sure about the “you must forgive no matter what” part that seemed to exist. To me, there are some things that are definite deal breakers and that I would not forgive, although that is obviously something that may be different from person to person. What I find unforgiveable, others may not find a big deal and vice versa.Product details

Build an ideal relationship with a man written by Maria Haston is a great guide to helping a woman figure out what she wants in life and with her partner. This short book goes over some key aspects of relationships and simple ways to figure out what could lead to being an issue, problem, or concern so that you are not facing these far into a relationship. The writing style is very easy and smooth flowing. I found that a lot of what was said was common sense, but appreciated the few tips I did pick out of the book and the reiteration that communication is a key part of an ideal relationship. There are a few parts that reference religion/God in relationships and I thought that was nice to see, as I know some religious people will find these tips helpful. I wish I had read this book a few years ago, as I am recently single and realized reading this book that the author is quite accurate, and although I may have learned her lessons/tips from experience, I found this short book quite interesting and really enjoyed reading it. I will be taking a few things away from this book and hope they will help me in the future. I highly recommend this book to all ladies whether single or taken as this book has good ideas for helping to find “the one” and great ideas for how to keep the love in the relationship.
