It is a very good written short story which could have been even more extended.
But this way the reader may imagine by him-/herself how the story goes on ...
I liked this read very much.

The Tattoo eBook Bryan Dunn Reviews
Although well written, and I loved the concept, the story line went nowhere. I was very disappointed as usually I like Bryan Dunn's work.
The beginning seemed to be a bit stilted and without a natural flow, but I was rewarded for my tenacity. You find yourself caught in the story and wanting to know what each following page has to offer. There are some references that are introduced, but left hanging in mid-air, sometimes the main character comes across as being a bit stilted and obtuse, but overall it was fun quick read.
I really enjoyed reading The Tattoo. I turned page after page of interesting dialog. descriptions and action. But ... there was never any tie in as to why all this mystery took place. There were many important questions that weren't answered about this living Tattoo and that is what it was, living. So where was it's origin? That is a question that should have been answered if not at the start, at least by the end. I beg the author to redo this, by making it longer and tie in the missing pieces, thereby making it stronger.
Fun, exciting, very fast to read. A good combination of bizarre, fear, and normalcy. I also think the short chapters help.
Story started off with an interesting premise but then left too many open gaps in the storyline/character development. The ending, quite frankly, was somewhat on the corny side & pretty disappointing. It seems like the author started out with good intentions but then got bored with the project and just rushed it out to get it over with. An O.K. story that could've benefitted from more attention to details & plot/character development.
CONTAINS SPOILERS!! Ha ha ha! Great story. I'm not sure it was supposed to be funny, but I got a kick out of reading it. Very descriptive! I could envision the tattoo traveling all around the poor schmuck's body. And then when he tried to amputate it! To wake up an find the offensive body part reattached! Har, har.
Tattoos fascinate and I enjoy reading stories about them.
A computer nerd tired of life in his cubicle takes a vacation and gets an unusual ankle tattoo. This quickly morphs into man vs. tattoo. There is a romantic subplot and some characters to root for but none to root against (the antagonist is the tattoo). I felt for the main character's conflict and really liked reading this up until the ending. It's not a bad or illogical ending, just not as good to me as the rest of the book. There are a few unsettling body horror moments.
